I was person in charge for the integration of archival holdings descriptions within the EU-funded project 'EHRI - European Holocaust Research Infrastructure', ensuring data normalisation and content integration. I worked primarily with XML-based EAD (Encoded Archival Description) format and OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative - Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) and ResourceSync protocols. I ensured the implementation of international standards (ISAD, RiC, Dublin Core) in the archival descriptions. I worked in close cooperation with The Hague-based research centre DANS - Data Archiving and Networked Services.

Document and record management trainee

I worked as archivist and document and records management trainee in Directorate-General Research and Innovation, Unit Knowledge and Information Services, Subunit CAD (Centre d'Administration des Documents) dealing with records and document management policies (Edomec - Electronic Document Management at the European Commission) and software (Ares/Documentum, NomCom, Adonis) about electronic, paper and hybrid archives. I worked about the life cycle of the record, i.e: registering, filing and classifying records; creating and closing files; attributing filing tasks; describing metadata; reviewing retention schedule; retrieving information; transferring paper and digital fonds to the historical archives. I gave assistance and helped colleagues in improving document management standards. I worked in Research and Innovation Library too, cooperating on electronic resources and databases and on collections development tools (SAP Business Objects, Aleph, ExLibris).
